Australian Indoor Nationals

This shoot has been good fun, I shot with Paul (2dogs) and it was a bunch of laughs. Shooting was not great, I was shooting alot higer scores in practice, but had some trouble hitting the X once i arrived in Australia.
I stayed with Rob Timms, who came 2nd. We drove 2 hours to the range, shot, then another 2 hours home.
I know now the areas i need to work on for the big event, VEGAS. There is alot more practice for me to do and I know the areas that need to be worked on, so it has been a good learning weekend for me.

World Cup Stage 3 Turkey

This was my 2nd World Cup event, I have been training hard for this shoot and i think has payed off. The weather in Turkey was between 31-35degrees, it was pretty hot but also very windy on practise and ranking day.
The ranking round wasnt so great this time. I had a bit of trouble adjusting to the wind for the first round shooting a 333, but after the break I shot a 347 to rank 25th.
Matchplay day was here, the first round i shot a 115 to a 109 to win first round. Next was one of the hardest matchs I have ever shot. I was up against current world ranked number 1 Braden Gellenthien. We both didnt shoot very well, tieing at 112. So we had to shoot off. My first arrow was a 10, so was his. We had to shoot again. Next arrow 9, so was his. Last arrow is closest to the middle, so I knew I my last arrow had to be middle 10. My arrow, 10, Braden shoots a 9. I move to the next round. Next I drew Dejan Sitar. Again we both didnt shoot very well. I shot a 111 to his 112. There were definatly points there for me to pick up, but I was happy to make 3rd round.
Next up is the Australian Indoor Nationals...

Ranked - 25th
Match Play - 16th

World Cup Stage 1 Dominican Republic

This has been my first World Cup event, it has been a great shoot, I am pretty happy with how things have gone for my first World Cup.
On the ranking day, I shot 351(3rd ranked) for the first 70m round, then 354(1st Ranked) for the second. 705 ranked me 1ST place, 4 ahead of the rest of the shooters. This 705 is also is the New New Zealand Record. So I am very very happy about this. I had done alot of training leading up to this and it has paid off.
I was knocked out in the 2nd round of matchplay, i wasnt to happy with how i shot but i have learnt from this and moved on.

Ranking - 1ST
Match play - 25th
